Ginkgo Advisory arranges Regent College London degree and higher-education qualification verification, solicitor certification, UK paper apostille and UAE Embassy London and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) attestation for eligible UK-issued documents. We review the documents and the receiving organisation’s instructions before confirming the stages required.
Regent College London’s alumni service handles certificate, transcript and programme-verification requests. We identify the relevant awarding partner and document status before preparing the qualification for a UAE application.
Regent College London degree attestation for a UAE work visa: what may be needed
Your degree or other higher-education award certificate for study at Regent College London may need attestation where the role or application requires an attested qualification. A transcript may be requested for academic verification without necessarily needing its own apostille or UAE attestation. MoHESR qualification recognition, sometimes called degree equivalency, may also be relevant. The employer, job classification and authority processing the work permit determine the applicable requirements.
| Item | What to confirm before proceeding |
|---|---|
| Degree or other qualification certificate | Whether the employer or authority requires an attested academic qualification, and whether it accepts a certified copy. |
| Academic transcript | Whether it is needed for verification or upload only, or must separately be apostilled and attested. |
| MoHESR recognition / equivalency | Whether a separate recognition report is requested or academic verification is incorporated into the employer’s work-permit application. |
For a foundation degree, HNC, HND, CertHE or professional qualification, use the exact award title and level shown on the document. These awards should not be described as a bachelor’s degree merely because the course was offered through a university centre. Whether the particular qualification meets the employer’s academic requirement or falls within a recognition service must be confirmed separately.

How we prepare Regent College London documents for UAE attestation
| Stage | What Ginkgo Advisory arranges |
|---|---|
| Institution and award verification | Review the award, the source of the documents, the appropriate verification route and any required consent. |
| Express solicitor certification | Prepare the appropriate certification once the documents and supporting evidence have been reviewed. |
| UK paper apostille | Our two-working-day express apostille service for eligible documents accepted as ready for submission. |
| UAE Embassy and MoFA | Coordinate the London digital attestation process, which includes Embassy and MoFA attestation, with physical-document submission and return. |
The two-working-day timeframe applies to the UK apostille stage only. University document production, verification, solicitor certification, UAE processing and delivery require additional time. A separate qualification-recognition process, where requested, has its own requirements and timing.
Identify Regent College and the correct awarding partner
Regent College London is the teaching institution to identify in an RCL records enquiry; it should not be confused with Regent’s University London. RCL’s partner information distinguishes university programmes from Pearson Higher National qualifications and identifies teach-out arrangements for some university partnerships, including Buckinghamshire New University and St Mary’s University.
Use the awarding organisation shown on your certificate, together with the programme and award year. If you completed an HND before a university top-up, retain both qualification titles and their separate issuers. Ask RCL to clarify any partner change affecting your cohort before ordering replacement paperwork or submitting an employer’s verification form under a university name.
Institution guidance: RCL: partners and external validation.
Request academic documents through the alumni contact
RCL’s alumni page directs requests for degree certificates, transcripts and programme verification letters to alumni@rcl.ac.uk. It also explains that access to the college email account ends after graduation, making an up-to-date personal contact address useful when documents or collection notices are being arranged.
Tell the alumni team whether you need a first certificate, a replacement, a transcript or a letter answering a particular employer enquiry. Include the recorded student name, student number if available, campus, course and completion year. Attach the receiving organisation’s instructions when it specifies direct delivery, particular wording or evidence of the programme studied, so the request reaches the appropriate academic or awarding-partner team.
Institution guidance: RCL: alumni document requests.
Check certificate collection separately from the ceremony
RCL’s graduation guidance says degree certificates and final transcripts are not handed out at the ceremony. Documents arrive from the awarding partners, and the college contacts graduates about collection. The same guidance confirms that ceremony attendance is optional and directs certificate questions to student support rather than the graduation-events team.
A ceremony invitation or photograph is therefore not the document to use as evidence of the final academic award. If you have moved abroad, establish whether your documents have arrived and ask the relevant support or alumni team about the available delivery arrangements. We can then review the issued certificate and any requested transcript before preparing the attestation submission.
Institution guidance: RCL: degree certificates and transcript collection.
Degree certificate and transcript: do both need attestation?
Have your Regent College London transcript available if it is requested, but clarify what “provide a transcript” means. It may mean a scan, secure university sharing, a direct university response or a separately legalised document. VFS Global’s official MoHESR guidance states that attestation is not required for its verification stage. That statement concerns that particular stage; it does not settle every employer’s or licensing authority’s requirements.
Official guidance: VFS Global: MoHESR verification FAQs.
If both the degree certificate and a separate transcript require UAE Embassy attestation through London, they need separate apostilles. The Embassy does not accept independent documents bundled under one apostille. Send every page of a multi-page transcript so we can review the complete document; this does not mean each page automatically needs a separate apostille.
Official guidance: UAE Embassy London: digital attestation.
Solicitor certification and a two-working-day UK apostille
Where legalisation is required for an eligible UK-issued qualification, the usual route described here is UK solicitor or notary certification → FCDO apostille → combined UAE Embassy and MoFA attestation through London. Ginkgo’s service uses solicitor certification following the necessary review; a separate notary stage should not be assumed necessary unless the recipient specifies it.
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office authenticates the relevant signature, stamp or seal. It does not itself determine the truth of every academic detail or grant UAE qualification recognition. University evidence is reviewed separately, and confirmation of an award does not automatically verify every module mark.
Our express paper-apostille timetable starts only when the required checks and preparation are complete and the documents are accepted for submission. Additional signature checks, corrections, weekends and public holidays can affect the schedule. Send your deadline before ordering replacements or sending originals.
Official guidance: GOV.UK: document legalisation and apostilles.
UAE Embassy London and MoFA digital attestation
The London Embassy’s current digital service covers both Embassy and MoFA attestation. For UK-issued documents, it requires a physical document that has already been legalised by the FCDO. After successful processing, a digitally attested copy is issued and the physical document is returned. The digital UAE output is different from a UK e-Apostille or a university’s digital certificate.
The Embassy permits eligible academic originals or true copies following the required prior legalisation, but the employer or other end recipient may specify an original. We check that distinction before preparing the submission. Laminated documents are not accepted under the Embassy’s published rules. For overseas-campus or partner-issued paperwork, the issuer and country of issue must also be reviewed before assuming the London route applies.
Study at a UK college, including one in Northern Ireland, does not by itself make an Irish or other overseas-issued award a UK-issued document. Such documents need the applicable issuing-country route.
Official guidance: UAE Embassy London: digital attestation.
MoHESR recognition, degree equivalency and MoHRE work permits
MoFA document attestation and recognition by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) serve different purposes. For skilled employment, the employer may need academic verification or a qualification-recognition result in addition to the attested document. A UK solicitor’s verification or an HEDD response should not automatically be treated as the report required by the UAE recognition process.
The May 2025 MoHRE–MoHESR integration announcement describes academic verification within work-permit procedures for overseas-qualified private-sector workers at skill levels 1–4. MoHRE’s February 2026 update also describes electronic checking of recognition for skilled labour. These announcements make it sensible to confirm how the employer’s application handles recognition; they do not, by themselves, establish that every applicant must independently obtain a separate recognition certificate.
Official guidance: Emirates News Agency: MoHRE–MoHESR academic verification integration; MoHRE: February 2026 digital services update.
Where a separate MoHESR recognition application is requested, the official route distinguishes qualification verification from the subsequent recognition decision. Ask the employer or its visa-processing team whether a recognition report is required from you or whether the relevant check is incorporated into its application.
Official guidance: MoHESR: qualification recognition; VFS Global: MoHESR verification FAQs.
Mainland employment, free-zone employers and job classifications
MoHRE’s overseas-work-permit checklist varies the academic qualification requirement by skill level and lists no academic-certificate requirement for skill levels 6–9. This is not a blanket rule for every employment or residence route. Confirm the job title, occupational classification, emirate and whether the employer operates on the mainland or in a free zone. A professional regulator or receiving organisation may have its own evidence requirements.
Official guidance: MoHRE: overseas work-permit requirements.
What to send for your Regent College London attestation quotation
- A clear colour scan of the qualification certificate issued by the relevant awarding body, including relevant reverse-side endorsements.
- All transcript pages and any university letter that the recipient has requested; identify which documents it says must be attested.
- Your name during study, qualification, course dates, award year and student number if available.
- Your campus or teaching partner, study country and any information requested about attendance or delivery method.
- Any official digital-document sharing link or information about the university sharing options and verification evidence already available.

We use these details to identify the documents and legalisation stages to quote. Where a recipient’s instruction is unclear, obtain written clarification before paying to attest additional records.
Processing times and attestation costs
| Stage | Planning point |
|---|---|
| University documents and verification | Depends on the institution, award age, record availability, consent and the scope of the enquiry. |
| Solicitor certification | Arranged after the relevant evidence and documents have been reviewed. |
| Express UK paper apostille | Two working days for eligible, submission-ready documents accepted into our express service. |
| UAE Embassy / MoFA and delivery | Additional processing and courier time, confirmed separately for the required route. |
| MoHESR recognition, if requested | A separate requirement to confirm with the employer or relevant authority; it is not included merely because documents are attested. |
The quotation depends on the document count, verification work, certification format, apostille service, UAE attestation and courier arrangements. University or verification-provider charges may also apply. We identify the included stages; send the certificate and any requested transcript together for review so the quotation reflects the actual requirement.
Frequently asked questions about Regent College London UAE attestation
Is Regent College London degree attestation enough for every UAE work visa?
It may address the document-legalisation requirement, but a work-permit application can also involve qualification verification, MoHESR recognition or professional licensing. Ask the employer which checks apply to your role and whether any recognition step is handled within its application.
Does my transcript automatically need an apostille and UAE attestation?
No automatic conclusion should be drawn from a request to provide a transcript. It may be needed only for verification or upload. VFS’s MoHESR guidance does not require attestation for its verification stage. If the recipient separately requires London Embassy attestation of both documents, each needs its own apostille.
Where should an RCL graduate request a verification letter?
The official alumni page lists alumni@rcl.ac.uk for programme verification letters, certificates and transcripts. Identify the course and awarding partner and include the recipient’s particular requirements.
Will I receive my RCL degree certificate at the graduation ceremony?
RCL says certificates and transcripts are issued separately after it receives them from awarding partners. Confirm collection or delivery with student support or the alumni team.
Can I start from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or another country?
You can send scans and the receiving organisation’s instructions for an initial review. Secure university sharing may support verification. We then confirm the appropriate physical-document requirements and collection or delivery arrangements for the legalisation route.
Does the two-working-day service include university verification and UAE MoFA?
No. It refers only to Ginkgo’s UK paper-apostille stage after the documents are ready. Verification, university document production, solicitor certification, UAE Embassy and MoFA processing, and courier transit are additional.
Can an online or overseas-partner degree be attested for UAE use?
The issuing body, country of issue, award details and supporting university evidence need to be reviewed. Attestation and recognition are separate questions. The employer, recognition authority or regulator may request information about study mode or location, so acceptance should not be promised from the university name alone.
Is Arabic translation always needed for an English UK degree?
The requirement depends on the receiving process. VFS’s MoHESR verification guidance asks for a legal translation where documents are not in Arabic or English. That does not determine the requirements of every other employer or authority; confirm the recipient’s instructions before commissioning a translation.
