Pay Your Fees Online

For UAE Embassy and UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs legalisation, you must pay the required fees directly through the MoFA Portal when you submit your application.

The portal will show the final payable amount before payment.

You must pay the fees in advance. Otherwise, the application will not move forward for processing.

Government Fees for Individual Documents

For individual documents, the government fee is:

AED 300

This includes:

AED 150 for UAE Mission attestation
AED 150 for UAE MoFA attestation

This fee applies to individual documents submitted through the UAE attestation process.

Government Fees for Commercial Documents

For commercial documents, the government fee is:

AED 2,150

This includes:

AED 2,000 for UAE Mission attestation
AED 150 for UAE MoFA attestation

Commercial documents therefore cost more than individual documents because the Mission attestation fee is higher.

VFS Service Fee Is Separate

The government fees above do not include the VFS service fee.

Therefore, you should check the final amount shown during the application before you pay.

Refunds After Cancellation or Rejection

If the application is cancelled or rejected on the MoFA portal, only the Embassy fee will be refunded.

However, the VFS service fee is non-refundable.

This means you should check your document type, format and legalisation requirements carefully before you submit the application.

How Ginkgo Advisory Can Help

Ginkgo Advisory helps clients prepare UK documents before they enter the UAE attestation process.

For UK-issued documents, we can assist with:

Solicitor authentication
Authenticity verification
Solicitor certification
FCDO apostille
2 working day UK apostille service, where suitable
Preparation before UAE Embassy and MoFA attestation

Our solicitor certification can go beyond a basic “certified true copy” where needed.

Where appropriate, we verify the authenticity of the document with the issuing body, official source or accepted verification platform before certification.

This helps reduce the risk of rejection, delay or wasted non-refundable service fees before the document moves to UAE Embassy and MoFA attestation.

Key Takeaway

You must pay UAE attestation fees online through the MoFA Portal during submission.

For individual documents, the government fee is AED 300.

For commercial documents, the government fee is AED 2,150.

VFS service fees are separate and non-refundable if the application is cancelled or rejected. Therefore, it is important to prepare the document correctly before payment.
