The present HEDD entry names “Prospects test University” as the verifying institution. This conflicts with the University of Northampton’s official history and appears to be test data.
University College Northampton became the University of Northampton in 2005. Verification should therefore be requested from the University of Northampton rather than from the test institution displayed on HEDD.

The University states that it cannot guarantee verification of awards conferred before September 2005 because of limitations in the records it holds. Requests are considered individually, and a refund is normally provided when the University cannot complete an order.
Applicants should provide as much accurate information as possible. A certificate, transcript or previous university correspondence can help the records team locate the award.
Transcripts and replacement certificates
The University may provide:
- replacement degree certificates;
- replacement transcripts;
- verification letters;

The University can check a scanned certificate or transcript against its records and issue a stamped and signed certified copy.
The current charge for certified copies sent by email is £10. Processing may take up to four working weeks.
The University cannot guarantee authentication of transcripts issued before 2005.
